We suffered a blow last week when my beloved husband was told that he has secondary cancer in his lungs. we have no idea what the future holds, but we both intend to fight this monster, and with a bit of luck, beat it - again.
It has been a busy year with the horses.
Sadly the big grey is beginning to show his age, but he is still as funny as ever, so despite having to be retired from the hunting field he still appears to enjoy himself tanking round with his friend and generally being an idiot.
Victor and I have been on several long sponsored ride, and he has enjoyed hunting with my husband. They have been going on regular show jumping lessons together being trained by the famous Pat Burgess. I promise to add some photos shortly.
The minis had a fat and lazy summer doing their own thing.
It was the Foresters turn to go into the show ring, and pretty successfully at that, taking 2 2nd places and a 3rd at the big New Forest Pony Breed Show. I was very proud of them.
We have bought 4 more very beautiful NFP foals this autumn, 3 colts and 1 filly. They are growing on well and giving us an enormous amount of pleasure.
Too much life and not enough time to fit it into, that is my problem, and now with Michael sick again there will be even less time.
I promise to try and update this site in the very near future, but if it takes a while, under current circumstances, please forgive me.
Regards from Aud Scott-Hopkins
