 And so Dunbar came to live with us at the end of September 2009. We also bought his field companion, Burley Faith, and so all of the lovely pictures that I had been allowed to take of him in his field with his dam and his chum became extra special as we now have both of them.

While we watched them grow in their field with their dams Dunbar lost his dun colouring, leaving him with a little shading round his eyes and muzzle. He is as handsome as ever, but is quite dark brown now. We wait with interest for him to lose his foal coat and see what is underneath! 

We are hoping to keep Dunbar entire for at least this year and we will see what Spring and hormones brings us in the form of his behaviour, but so far - it is now March 2010 he has yet to put a foot wrong, so the omens are good at this time.

Burley Dunlin is Burley Dunbar's dam

Peronne Palaver is his sire. They are both very beautiful New Forest Ponies that have/have had great success in the show ring. Hopefully Dunbar will follow in his parents' footsteps.

Burley Dunbar came to us at the end of September 2009. We saw him and paid our deposit when he was only a couple of months old. He was an incredibly beautiful foal and continues to be a very special boy. He has movement to die for.  He has the sweetest of faces and the gentlest of natures. He comes to call, behaves impeccably for the farrier, stands stock still while he has his headcollar put on and leads well.           

As things stand it is our intention to let him grow on as an entire and see how things go. We are thrilled to have been allowed to take on this beautiful colt and thank Gill Wright of Burley Stud for entrusted us with this gorgeous boy.
