Charm is a wonderful rich dark brown, she was born in 2002.
She was bred by Jane Hands of Shadowplay stud in Hertfordshire and came to us as a yearling. She has been herd leader ever since she arrived here and brings them all in at night when called.
Charm went back to Jane in 2005 to be covered by Spotlights Blue Messiah and gave us a beautiful filly foal in 2006. Jane took the opportunity to break her to the cart for me. She did not work as she was in foal, but I have bought her a beautiful little vehicle and once the weather improves we shall be off on our travels. I have hopes that one day she and her daughter will make a stunning pair for driving. Taffeta is so like her mother, they are like book ends!
Charm stands at the top end of the height limit which makes her have a very "horse" like appearance. She is the favourite of all of my friends with larger horses.
She looked so well after her foal was weaned that I decided to work her in and give her a chance in the show ring. Charm took Supreme Champion at her very first show and went on to qualify for the RIHS Hickstead where she took 3rd place in the mares class.
Charm is a very well mannered mare, she is easy to train and loves the fuss of grooming and primping. She has one of those truly chocolate brown coats that gleams in the sunshine.

The good news is that Charm was scanned in foal to my buckskin stallion and is carrying a foal due in May this year.
