January 1st 2009 Boo is very well at the moment and looking very pretty in her winter woollies. She is definitely heading up the naughty gang and is very skitty and silly in this very cold weather.

I have finally got around to photgraphing Boo, now aged 5, for her adult registration. She has changed colour yet again, but remains the sweetest natured little mare with the prettiest of faces.

She has more spots than ever, & those eyes just make you melt! Her adult height is 31".
Despite having spent the whole summer out in the fields doing her own thing she is still a truly beautiful little lady.
Boo was born early in August 2003 and earned her stable name for the surprise that she caused. She was bred by Jane Hands of Shadowplay stud in Hertfordshire and is the full younger sister to my mare - Charm. She came here at only 8 weeks old as Jane very kindly allowed us to borrow her mother until she was weaned. She started life looking as though she was going to be a buckskin colour, but over the years we are no more sure of her colour than we were then. She sports a spectaular back covered in spots in the summer and has taken several spotted classes and won them! She goes a lovely milky coffee roan colour in the winter with a white overlay, and so each spring we wonder what coat pattern she will manage this year.

Boo qualified and went to Hickstead as a yearling. She fell asleep whilst waiting to be judged! She has a temperament to die for and works every summer with the disabled children from SCARF. They absolutely adore her and queue up to ride in her little cart. They brush her in her rest breaks and she is so unbelievably gentle with them. The children of SCARF have all sorts of disabilities, but the most moving occasions have been the reaction of parents with children with autism as they watch their children chatting away to Boo, telling her stories. It is the most rewarding thing that I have ever done and I greatly look forward to seeing them all again this summer..jpg)

She is scanned in foal to my stallion - Seahorse Gold Melody Grand Buckeroo - and we await its arrival with eager anticipation.
Sadly Boo aborted her foal on March 25th 2008. It had no chance as it was born far too early. My lovely vet sorted it all out for her and Boo is fit and well, thank goodness, so it looks like she will be out with the children in the summer pulling her little cart after all. Some things are just not meant to be!
